The Creators

Julie Yeh majored in English at Wellesley College and has some other post graduate degrees in various fields from Columbia University and UCLA. She likes to write as a hobby.

Jack Hsu was a professionally trained architect from Yale University, and is a storyboard artist for films such as Spiderman II, the Haunted Mansion, Stuart Little II, and the upcoming Open Seasons.

Both Julie and Jack grew up outside the United States: Julie in North Africa, and Jack in Taiwan and Japan. Some of the inspirations for Poppie’s Adventures include The Adventures of Tintin, Asterix, and the works of Hayao Miyazaki. In creating Poppie's Adventures, however, she wanted to create a female protagonist and characters from diverse backgrounds.

Jack, on the other hand, counts as his inspiration Japanese Manga and both Hong Kong and Japanese films about the criminal underworld.
